about Picket

At Florida Fence, you are always greeted with a smile and a friendly face. But if you are lucky, you might also run into our resident mascot and “Chief Canine Officer”, Picket.

Picket found us just after Thanksgiving 2014, weighing in a 2.2 pounds, breed unknown. He is responsible for countless smiles and laughter throughout the office, as well as the occasional accident on the showroom floor.

He is available for house calls to lend his expert advice on all things puppy and is a favorite of our customers – who ask for him by name. He has grown quite a bit since these photos!

Picket has become our spokesdog, with his own social media accounts and following. He is involved in all things Florida Fence and is representative of what we are all about – family & fences.

At first, we hit a snag. One of the employees put us on hold. We had a big project and needed exacting detail, design and,creativity. We also wanted to install a large gate which seemed impossible to get done. Frustrated, I reached out and spoke to Management. Surprisingly, they listened. Even better, they responded. They were out to make everything right and they did. Even after, we needed an adjustment and they were out here with a team. Initially, I would have unloaded them with how we first were treated. After that call, what a shift in gears. Amazing. A family business that aims to satisfy. By the way, the work was excellent and we are very happy with the exterior wood Fence, the aluminum Fence by the front yard and pool and the large gate. UPDATE. 2022. The fence needs repair. They will not be able to come out for FOUR months to fix it. Three pieces of the fence are caving in. Anyone know of where we can go, please ...SOS. Betsy and Mike in Longboat Key

I called and spoke with Dawn about getting some help regarding my fence and residential easements. Although it turned out my property was not in their service area, she still pursued Kevin to give me a call. It was almost close of business, but Kevin returned my call right away (I'm sure due to Dawn's kind persistence) and patiently answered all my questions. My only disappointment in my experience with this knowledgeable company is that I don't live in Sarasota so I can't hire them!
